LWs To Play Horseshoe This Friday Night With Special Guests T&A

Dear friends,
The Whipps are playing this Friday night (May 2nd) at Horseshoe Bar starting around 8:00pm. We are excited to announce that our friends Tom and Andrew (T&A) will be our opening act. So come out this Friday night to Horseshoe around 7:30pm. Horseshoe Bar is located on Lincoln Avenue in the heart of Lincoln Square in Chicago.

Also, the LWs will be playing the following Saturday (May 10th) back at Horseshoe with our good friends the Wild Onions. More to come on that show. Stay tuned!

Lonesome Whippoorwills To Play Monthly Gigs At Horseshoe

We are excited to announce that the Whipps have been asked to play a regularly scheduled gig at Horseshoe Bar once a month beginning in April. Thank you, Horseshoe Bar, for this great opportunity! We love playing at the Horseshoe. We will be playing the first Friday of each month at 8:00pm starting April 4th. So we hope to see you out at Horseshoe Bar on Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square on Friday, April 4th around 8:00pm. Thanks once again to everyone for your support of our group!

LWs To Play With Wild Onions And Sam And Sally At Horseshoe Bar On March 8th

Lonesome Whippoorwills are pleased to announce that we will be playing with our friends, The Wild Onion String Band at Horseshoe Bar in Chicago on Lincoln Avenue on Saturday March 8th. There will be another band (Sam And Sally) also playing as part of the bill. We have had the honor of playing with the Wild Onions as part of their gigs at Horseshoe in the past, and it has always been a lot of fun. Those guys are great by the way. You should come early to check them out! The music starts at 6:00pm on Saturday March 8th. The Whipps will take the stage at 8:00pm and will play for about an hour. As always, we hope to see you out at Horseshoe that night. Thank you for following our blog and supporting our group!

LWs Return To Horseshoe On February 1

Lonesome Whippoorwills will be playing at Horseshoe Bar again on Saturday, February 1st. The bar is located on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago in the great Lincoln Square neighborhood. We really enjoy playing at Horseshoe, so we look forward to playing there again on February 1st. We hope to see you out there that night. The gig should start sometime around 7:00 or shortly thereafter.

Also, we want to thank all of our friends from Thomas Middle School who came out to see us at our Christmas show last month. We had some challenges on stage including an unexpected visitor, but it was still a lot of fun. Thank you Thomas colleagues - you guys are the best!

LWs To Play Second Annual Holiday Show at Horseshoe

Lonesome Whippoorwills are pleased to announce our second annual holiday concert at Horseshoe Bar on Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, Chicago on Saturday, Dec 21st. The gig should start around 7:00pm. We are expecting to play two sets of music with some fun holiday tunes sprinkled in as well. Also, we will be doing a tribute to Hank Williams. We did a similar show like this last year before Christmas and had a lot of fun with it. So we look forward to playing again this year at Horseshoe Bar on 12/21/13. Hope to see you out that night, and as always we so greatly appreciate your support in following our group!

Lonesome Whippoorwills Return To Horseshoe Bar This Saturday

Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce another date on our brief autumn northeastern Illinois coastal bar tour. Lonesome Whippoorwills will be playing this Saturday, Nov 9th at Horseshoe Bar on Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, Chicago. The gig starts at 7:00pm and we play until 9:00pm. We love playing at Horseshoe so we are excited for the opportunity. Additionally, our good friend, guitarist John Garza, will be playing with us on Saturday. We always enjoy playing with John, so it should be a great time. We hope to see you out at the Horseshoe. Stop by and grab some drink and tasty barbecue!

Also, special thanks to Mitch Meade and Robert Godfrey for coming out this past weekend to see us at Eastgate Cafe in Oak Park. We greatly appreciate your support!

Whipps To Play At Eastgate Cafe This Upcoming Saturday

Dear friends,
Lonesome Whippoorwills will be playing this upcoming Saturday, November 2nd at Eastgate Cafe in Oak Park on Harrison Street beginning at 7:00pm. We should be playing until about 10:00pm with a couple of breaks in between. We hope to see you at Eastgate this Saturday, and as always we greatly appreciate you following and supporting our music.

Also, be sure to check out the LWs' very own Jim Stacho on Friday Nov 8th at Old Town of School of Fok Music performing the songs of the late great Rick Danko as part of the Six String Social series. Jim will be playing at the Armitage Old Town School Building. This is a chance for you to bring your guitar and learn from Jim some songs of the former "Band" great.
