Dear friends,
Lonesome Whippoorwills are pleased to announce our second annual holiday concert at Horseshoe Bar on Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, Chicago on Saturday, Dec 21st. The gig should start around 7:00pm. We are expecting to play two sets of music with some fun holiday tunes sprinkled in as well. Also, we will be doing a tribute to Hank Williams. We did a similar show like this last year before Christmas and had a lot of fun with it. So we look forward to playing again this year at Horseshoe Bar on 12/21/13. Hope to see you out that night, and as always we so greatly appreciate your support in following our group!
Happy holidays! Keep warm, but stay cool.

Whipps Play At Horseshoe in Lincoln Square, Get Ready For Oak Park Festival This Saturday
Dear friends,
Lonesome Whippoorwills played a set this past Saturday night at Horseshoe in Lincoln Park. Like the Chicago Bulls, our roster was down a few players, but we put together our best, gutsy effort as a guitar and fiddle trio. We really had a great time playing on the bill with the Wild Onion String Band. Special thanks to Bill from the Wild Onions for giving us this great opportunity to play. Also, we really enjoyed hearing you guys play before us! We hope to play again at Horseshoe. One of the highlights for me was the post gig pulled pork sandwich and fries deal from the kitchen for only $5. Great deal and very tasty! Also, thanks again to all of Paul's family and friends who came out to see us on Saturday. We greatly appreciated your support!
Later this week on Saturday, May 18th, the fun continues as the Whipps will be playing at the "What's Blooming on Harrison?" Festival in Oak Park. We are slated to play on stage at 11:00am (rain or shine). If the weather cooperates, it could be a great opportunity to come out with your family, kids, pets, and friends to hear some old country music all before noon! We hope to see you in Oak Park on Saturday.
Set List - 5/11/13 - Horseshoe

Whipps To Play Again at Eastgate Cafe in February
Dear friends,
Lonesome Whippoorwills is pleased to announce that we will be returning to the Eastgate Cafe in Oak Park for another night of music and fun on Saturday, February 16th. The show begins at 6:30pm. Like our last performance there in December, we plan on playing three sets of music with breaks in between. We also look forward to playing once again with talented drummer, Mike Levin. Mike was awesome at our last show, so we are quite excited to have him join us again. Also, we hope that our good friend John Garza will be joining us on stage that night for some songs with his always wonderful guitar playing. If we're lucky, he may also bring his banjo as well! Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
